Colours

I took my time
with painting skies all black:
A silent blues kept playing
in my mind.

You stayed behind a haze of purple
messy, foggy, violet shadows
showing nothing but your face
a negative, a silhouette.

A lightning tears the open sky:
A flash of white
and blinding light
A manifesto of the end.

But through the thunder of the fall:
I see the silver lining;
know there is a heaven
left to live for.

I have seen the good in mankind:
I have witnessed your approach
to kindness.
Rainbows blush when facing you.
